New Pro Care, One to One, and Personal Shopping at Apple Retail Stores

Apple retail stores added two new services and tweaked their ProCare service this May. These services are especially helpful for the new Mac users who would like all the help and advice they can get in a personal, individualized way. These services are provided by appointment with Mac Specialists in the retail stores.

Personal Shopping (New)

"Personal Shopping is a whole new way to shop at the Apple Store. A free service where you and a dedicated Mac Specialist explore and test-drive products to find out which ones are best for you. We know the store can be busy, so when you’re ready to talk, Personal Shopping is a way for us to give you our undivided attention."

This looks to be a good service for those that are entirely new to Macs and all the Apple products. And the price is right: Free!

One to One (New)

"Our trainers — experts in all things Apple — create a program customized to your level of experience. You can choose individual sessions covering everything from getting started on a Mac to making more out of your memories. Or explore any topic you like."

Personal training sessions are designed to move at your pace and provide the support and guidance you need, whether you’re new to Mac or ready to master the latest pro software.

For $99, this looks to be the best service in that you can get as much attention as you like for a set annual fee. I'm not sure if they will help with learning non Apple products, but there is so much just to learn about all the software in your new Mac, that $99 for a year's worth seems like a bargain.

ProCare (Revised)

"ProCare has been offered fro some time at the Apple Stores, but the training component has been broken out as  the One to One program. Existing ProCare customers can still keep their service and get One to One too. To make up for the loss of training, the revised service includes support for up to 3 Macs, quick drop off service and priority on repairs.

ProCare membership starts with a complete setup of your Mac. Then stay up and running with premium benefits like same-day service at the Genius Bar, Rapid Repairs, yearly tune-ups, and more. All for just $99 per year, for up to three computers."

What's your opinion on the new services? Did they do the right thing by breaking it out into 3 services? Share your thoughts in the Comments below.

I do not have a yellow closed padlock at the bottom of the page when I make a purchase. I tried to read up on the entrust.org page and they said make sure you clock on the padlock and I have none. Can i have safe purchased on the web as I just bought UGGS for our daughter and I have no tracking # and they should have been here by now. I have emailed the seller but still no UGGS?
