Do you like to help others? Are you the person your friends and family turn to for advice about computers? If you have knowledge and tips about using the Mac, we want you to be a part of My First Mac.
In the effort to get My First Mac off the ground, there were just a few voices. But now we need to hear from all of you to get a well rounded point of view. You can help us by writing articles that would fit in the scope of the categories across the top of the site.
We can provide you direction on the topics as well as editorial and graphic assistance. Unfortunately, at this point we can't provide you with any financial compensation, just the satisfaction of helping others. However, you can put in a little about yourself and link to your website to get a little love.
Here's how the process works: Contact us to let us know you are interested and with any topics you might have. We can also assign a topic that's on our To Do list. We will agree on topics and let you fly with it. You can send us your copy (and images, if any) when finished, we will add graphics, tighten it up and then publish it. We would like to get to the point with several of you writers where you can go from topic to publishing all on your own with just an OK from the Executive Editor.
We are also open to a recognition system for all your effort. Your input on this is important to us.
Please email us at editor[AT]myfirstmac[DOT]com or use the Contact form.
You can even start today by asking and answering in the Comments sections. Let's start helping all the Noobs, <ahem>, new Mac users!
