I’m considering purchasing a Mac, and was wondering about time capsule. I already have a router in my house, but only have 1 mmodem for the high speed internet. I am wondering if it’d be possible to just plug in the Time Capsule to the wall and have it serve as a wireless drive. Or, is it possible to use the Time Capsule as an extension of my current network (like have it pick up the signal and rebroadcast it?)

I have ALWAYS owned Dell PCs but my son wanted a MAC for college and since seeing his, I’ve decided to get one. I have a few questions though.

I KNOW that I want a Macbook PRO because I definately want at least a 15.4 “ screen. I currently own a DELL 17” . Do you think I will be happy with the 15.4”? Is there that much of a difference on webpages? It seemed to me when I was in the store today, that the web fonts actually appear smaller on the 17”. Then, should I go for glossy or matte finish? I love the look of the glossy but worry about it being too reflective. Also, the 17” is just very large when I do travel with it.

By the way, is there a way to make the webpages appear full screen? Will I still be able to find software titles for the MAC as easily as I do with the PC?

THANKS! ANy other thoughts or info that you might want to throw my way, I’d appreciate!

...I’m probably just out of luck, but.

I recently switched to Mac (so, yeah, running Leopard etc) and I really like iPhoto, for the organization and the auto-import and so on, and the fact that it loads way faster than Adobe Bridge. However. Most of my photo-related activity takes place in Photoshop, and I hate that I can’t GET TO THE DAMN FILES for it.

I found the “show package contents” trick in the Q&A;’s for this site, but that only works in Finder. And what I want to do—you know, photo editing—I can’t “accomplish from within iPhoto” as the Q&A;suggests. Is there any way to change settings so that the iPhoto “package” is accessible by other programs? Or to open files from it into Photoshop without having to copy and paste? I really am not a fan of Bridge, but I’m less of a fan of this not-being-able-to-get-at-my-pictures-except-through-iPhoto-where-I-can’t-do-anything-with-them crap.
